Governance Framework

... selecting suitable process models for better governance.

An IT governance framework is established to incorporate the existing “best practices” and governance structures (e.g. project office, enterprise risk management, etc.) as well as good practices from other process models where appropriate under a single "umbrella" framework.

The goal is develop a single governance framework that will provide a common language to facilitate communication between IT and the business, and which can also facilitate the mapping between the governance structures and process models themselves.

Appropriate leadership and organisational structures for good IT governance are required to drive the development and deployment of the IT governance framework, improve on IT process capabilities and to implement an objective IT performance measurement system.
