Alignment is a complex, multifaceted and never completely achieved. It
is about continuing to move in the right direction and being better aligned
than competitors. This may not be attainable for many enterprises because
enterprise goals change too quickly, but it nevertheless sets the direction
and addresses the real concern about the value of IT investment. .
